7 Pack
Once-a-day patch to beat nicotine cravings
To help you quit smoking for good
See full details below

Niquitin is part of a programme designed to support your wish to stop smoking. The programme contains 3 steps which you will need to follow, starting with Step 1, then Step 2, then Step 3. Each Step has its own strength of Niquitin patch; the patches are designed to supply your body with the correct amount of nicotine, which decreases as you go from Step 1 to Step 3.

Niquitin patches can be used to help you:

  • Stop smoking straightaway
  • Cut down smoking, perhaps before you goon to stop completely

Niquitin patch can also be used in other ways

  • If you do not wish to smoke, for example in confined spaces (in the car, in the house), where others could be harmed by tobacco smoke
  • If you develop cravings once you have stopped smoking

When you stop smoking or cut down the number of cigarettes you smoke, your body misses the nicotine that you have been absorbing. You may experience unpleasant feelings and a strong desire to smoke (craving). This indicates that you were dependent on nicotine.

When you apply a Nicorette invisi patch to the skin nicotine is released and passes into your body through the skin. The nicotine released is sufficient to relieve the unpleasant nicotine withdrawal symptoms. It will also help to stop your craving to smoke, but will not give you the ’’buzz’’ you get from smoking a cigarette.

Please read the leaflet enclosed in the product carefully before use

Niquitin patches should be applied once a day, at the same time each day and preferably soon after waking, to a non-hairy, clean, dry skin site and worn continuously for 24 hours. The Niquitin patch should be applied promptly on removal from its protective sachet.

Avoid applying to any skin that is broken, red or irritated. After 24 hours the used patch should be removed and a new patch applied to a fresh skin site. The patch should not be left on for longer than 24 hours. Skin sites should not be reused for at least seven days. Only one patch should be worn at a time.

Patches may be removed before going to bed if desired. However use for 24 hours is recommended to optimise the effect against morning cravings.

Niquitin therapy should usually begin with Niquitin 21 mg and be reduced according to the following dosing schedule

Step 1: Niquitin 21mg – First 6 weeks

Step 2: Niquitin 14mg – Next 2 weeks

Step 3: Niquitin 7mg – Last 2 weeks

Light smokers (e.g. those who smoke less than 10 cigarettes per day) are recommended to start at Step 2 (14 mg) for 6 weeks and decrease the dose to Niquitin 7 mg for the final 2 weeks.
